Selling services is different from selling products through a traditional online shop. A customer may call first, ask for a quote, arrange an appointment or agree the scope of work before payment is even discussed. That means a small service business does not always need full ecommerce to accept payments online.
JustPayFor lets you match the payment flow to the situation: send a Payment Link, take an advance payment, prepare a Virtual Basket or show the customer a QR code.
Choose the payment flow that matches the sale
| Situation | Good starting point |
|---|---|
| One agreed price for a service | Payment Link |
| Appointment or reservation | Deposit or advance payment |
| Several services or items | Virtual Basket |
| The customer is standing with you | QR / Scan to Pay |
1. Payment Link after a quote
This is one of the simplest service-payment scenarios.
The customer asks about the service, you agree the scope and final price, then create a Payment Link and send it by text message, email or messaging service.
There is no need for a product catalogue because the customer already knows what they are buying.
2. Payment before an appointment or booking
If the service requires you to reserve a time, prepare materials or begin work in advance, you can agree an advance payment with the customer.
3. Virtual Basket for a more detailed service order
Sometimes one order contains several elements.
A photographer might sell a session, additional images and an album. A repair business may combine labour and parts. A training company may provide several items within one customer order.
A Virtual Basket can show the customer a clearer breakdown before payment.
4. QR for face-to-face payments
If the customer is standing next to you, sending a text message with a link may add an unnecessary step.
With Scan to Pay, the customer can scan a QR code and open the prepared page on their own phone.
